A Visit to the Denver Zoo
Michael and I took a few vacation days so that we could plan and spend some fun, quality time with the girls. The first place we went was to the Denver Zoo. A couple friends of ours, Bridget and Ted, met us there and we all had a great time. It was a blistering 90 degree day, but we sweated out the heat and had a wonderful day! Lily and Alex were both so excited to see all of the neat animals. Both of then probably don't remember their last visit to the zoo, so it was all quite new and exciting to them! Lily loved the penguins, and watching the seal do tricks during a show. She got a kick out of watching the elephants spraying water on each other. Alex loved everything! That little pointer finger of hers was going 100mph as she noticed new animal after new animal. We ended the day with some yummy ice cream cones and long naps on the drive home! What a perfect outing!

What a FABULOUS Saturday!
Sorry, I have no pics to post, but I just wanted to say that I had the best day with my beautiful daughters today doing just a few simple things. We spent the morning at the park so we could get the best use of our play time while it was still cool outside. (The days have been reaching a SCORCHING 80 degrees!!! ;) ) Then I took the girls to McDonald's (which is not something we do very often) to order a couple hamburgers and a small fry from the dollar menu. They LOOOOVE McDonald's fries!!! After afternoon naps, Lily, Alex and I treated ourselves to some YUMMY Baskin Robins ice cream. Then we went to Walmart to say hi to Daddy who was working at Subway. After a quick microwaveable dinner, we sat outside in the cool breeze and blew some fun bubbles. The best part of the day was just being with my girls and seeing their excitement and watching them enjoy themselves. I love those girls to pieces!!! Before bed tonight, Lily threw her arms around my neck and said, "I love you soooo much, Mommy!" That just melted my heart! I love seeing them happy and I love that it doesn't take money and big gifts to see them at their happiest!
