Lily's Dora Birthday Party!!!

I have been meaning to post Lily's birthday party for forever! Finally, I am able to do it! For Lily's third birthday party we did a Dora the Explorer theme. Lily LOVES Dora and is totally obsessed with her! I asked her if she wanted a Dora or a Princess birthday and (of course) Dora won, hands down. My friend Bridget was feeling a little adventuresome and suggested that we should try to make her a Dora cake ourselves. I am not a cake artist by any means, but Bridget is pretty good at art, so I thought, okay, as long as you are doing it! Well, we didn't read the directions the first time, so, needless to say, our first Dora cake fell apart! Then, it was a race against the clock to make a brand new one and decorate it in the hour and a half we had before the party. It was close, but we did it, and we think it turned out pretty well! What do you think? We definitely will not be opening a cake shop or anything anytime soon!

Lily loved her Dora party. She was so excited to see her friends and enjoyed
playing with them. The balloons were definitely and big hit! She was all smiles all day! She was so spoiled and got so many presents thanks to all of those who came! Grandma made her a nice big, comfy Dora blanket. She got skates and a Dora helmet from mommy and daddy. A huge kite from Mandy and pretty princess umbrella from Bridget and many other treasures!She loved opening her presents more than she liked the actual present, though she loves them all so much. She got many Dora and Princess things and she was so excited to play with them! She loved her Dora cake and couldn't wait to eat it! Lily had a great day and thanks so much to everyone who came and made it so special for her! Happy Birthday, Lilyana!
