We visited the pumpkin patch the weekend before Halloween with some family and friends. The girls had a fabulous time running through the dirt fields and seeing all of the pumpkins. Unfortunately, there had been a freeze a few days before, so many of the pumpkins were pretty gross. They were charging 7.00 a pumpkin and I just couldn't bring myself to make sense of paying that much for one when we could get a better one at Walmart for $4.00! So, we let the girls have their pumpkin patch experience and pick out pumpkins and then secretly left them on the side of the road as we got the girls into their carseats. Later, I stopped at Walmart and picked up a couple of pumpkins, which, thankfully, Lily didn't know them any better than from the ones we picked at the pumpkin patch.
Unfortunately, shortly after this picture was taken, Lily tripped and fell into a rotten,
squashed pumpkin and dyed her pants and shoes orange. This incident was single handedly responsible for her sour mood for most of the rest of the day.

Shortly after the pumpkin incident!
All in all, even with the cold wind, it was a fabulous time! The farm also had farm animals and yummy treats to enjoy!

Love the updates!!
Looks like lots of fun! We went to Apple Annie's on an overcast day, so it actually seemed a little fallish for once.
Enjoy the tricking your kids the last little while it lasts. Before you know it Lily will be on to you and the whole leaving the pumpkin and getting Walmart ones won't fly.
